Did you know that one of the biggest mistakes that people make is to starve themselves or skip meals in order to lose weight ? But, the best way for a person that wants to shed those extra pounds for ever is to simply eat healthy. In fact, healthy foods provide the body with all the nutrition it needs while containing low calories. Vegetables , fruits and anything that comes from the nature is healthy as long as it’s used with moderation.
In this article, you’ll be able to know the basics of a balanced diet program that you need so as to achieve weight loss goals.
1. Stop the emotional eating :
A lot of people have gained weight because of emotional eating. Sometimes they get frustrated, angry, depressed, stressed… That’s why they use food to give them a false sense of relief or relaxation. The problem here is that a lot of us can’t distinguish the feeling of solitude from hunger.
So my advice for you : if you ever feel so stressed and start thinking about food, immediatly change your place. Take a cold shower, go for a run or scream a little. It doesn’t matter, just don’t eat because it’ll become an addiction !
2. Change what you eat, but take it easy !
No one should change their daily eating program all at once ! Even if you’re exited about starting to lose weight, you may get demotivated at one point and go back to the bad habits. So you can start by adding a few vegetables and fruits here and there, a green sald before lunch or dinner (or both) untill it becomes an essential part of your diet. Just be smart and determined about it !
3. Exercise
Yes. You HAVE TO EXERCISE to lose weight. It’s just the way it is.
It’s actually a simple equation :
1 = you eat > you get calories
2 = you exercise > you burn more calories than you had
1+2= you lose weight
Although, you have to start with a simple exercise program. A bunch of workouts to improve blood circulation like exercising on a treadmill for 15 minutes a day for a couple of weeks, and then 20 minutes then 30 minutes and so on can be a good start.
The bottom line, plan your goals, have a clear diet and exercise programs and most importantly take baby steps.
